Tiger girls tennis opens season with two wins
The Lake City Girls Tennis team is off to a strong start, picking up two early-season victories.
The Tigers opened their season with a 4-3 win over John Marshall. In singles play, Rylee Thieren (6-2, 6-2), Thérése Bauer (6-3, 6-2), and Gemma Bauer (5-7, 6-4, 6-4) , Madyson Skifton fell in straight sets. In doubles, Emily Mehrkens and MaryKate Bauer (3-6, 2-6), Julia Huettl and Addison Ahrens (4-6, 1-6), and Lucy Beckman and Addie Thieren (3-6, 6-1, 3-6) battled hard.
