Tiger girls win both holiday tournament games
The Tiger girls basketball team was in the Holiday Rotary tournament in Rochester at the Mayo Civic Center last week.
First up for the Tigers was (3A) Totino-Grace (T-G) on Tuesday Dec. 28.
The Tigers got on the board first with a three from Matzke, then Bremer grabbed a couple of steals and the Tigers led 8-2. Shones got a nice pass from Benjamin for two and increase the lead for the Tigers.
But Totino-Grace got a few baskets of their own and tied up the game at 14 a piece with about 7 minutes left in the first half.
