Tiger girls win opening round over Pine Island

The Section 1AA No. 2 seed Lake City Tigers hosted the No. 15 seed Pine Island Panthers in the first round of playoffs on Feb. 20 and came away with a dominating win, 71-45.  
The Panthers got the first bucket after a couple of misses from the Tigers, then Lilly Meincke got the Tigers on the score board.  Lake City continued to increase the lead and went up 7-2. The Panthers fought back and pulled within two.  Natalie Bremer hit a 3-point shot to give the Tigers a five point lead.
