Tiger netters lose to Schaeffer Academy
The Lake City Tigers boys tennis team traveled to Schaeffer Academy in Rochester May 10 and were outplayed 6-1.
Bringing in the lone point for the Tigers was No. 1 singles player Mitch Medvec with a 6-3, 6-3 win.
At No. 2 singles, Alex Holmgren fought hard in his 6-3, 6-4 loss at No. 2. Ryan Heise was defeated 6-3, 6-2 at No. 3 and Joey Nafe lost 6-2, 6-1 at No. 4.
In doubles action, Elijah Ender and Jacob Miller went out 6-4, 6-2 in a loss at No. 1.
Elijah Miller and Trey Meincke stepped into the No. 2 spot and were denied 6-0, 6-0.
