Tiger softball struggles in double header outing

If the first inning against Kasson-Mantorville was any indication, the Lake City Tigers softball team was facing an incredibly steep uphill battle in a double header May 14 against two different powerhouses: Kasson-Mantorville’s KoMets and the Ellsworth Panthers.
The first hit of the game was a nice slice to left and was caught by Morgan West. But, that was the end of the good news in Tiger territory for a while.
The next two batters singled and doubled respectively, followed by a three-run homer over the left center fence.
