Tiger wrestlers fall to Cannon Falls in Section 1AA quarterfinals

The Lake City High School Tiger wrestling team closed out the 2022-23 dual meet season with a tightly contested 34-29 loss to Cannon Falls in the quarterfinals of the Section 1AA tournament.

Lake City entered the dual as the No. 4 seed with a 12-6 record and Cannon Falls was the No. 5 seed with a record of 19-8.

113 pound eighth grader Adrian Lopez Ramirez picked up the first points for Lake City with a 15-4 major decision followed by an exciting 6-4 victory for senior Cris Ramirez at 120 to put the home team in the lead at 7-6.
