Tigers bow 1-0 in boys soccer to Pine Island

The Lake City Tiger boys’ soccer team lost 0-1 Saturday in Pine Island to the Wildcats.   
It was a tightly contested match with both teams playing solid, evenly matched offense and defense.  The goalkeepers for both teams were strong and the first half was scoreless.
Play continued to be evenly matched in the second half, but Pine Island managed to squeak a shot just past Tiger goalie Satchell Ekblad, and the game finished with Lake City on the losing end 0-1.  In all, Ekblad saved 10 shots out of 11 on goal.
