Tigers boys lose HVL Gold lead to Byron

For the first time in four years, Lake City has been knocked from its perch on the top of the Hiawatha Valley League Gold Division as Byron held on for a wild 57-55 win last Tuesday night at Lincoln High School. A dramatic final minute included two chances for the Tigers to tie or take the lead with the ball trailing by two but two key turnovers proved costly.
