Tigers come up short in battle of ranked Class AA teams

A Saturday afternoon showdown between two of the top 10 ranked teams in class AA was largely one sided as Plainview-Elgin-Millville defeated Lake City 67-52. Both teams entered the game having won eight straight games, but the Bulldogs used a fast start and great free throw shooting to knock off the Tigers.

Lake City led for just 1:05 of the game at 3-2 following a three-pointer by Justin Wohlers to open the scoring. Six early turnovers plagued the Tigers as the Bulldogs had six points off turnovers in the early stages en route to an 18-7 lead after eight minutes of play.
