Top-ranked girls win two more meets
The Lake City High School girls golf team opened up Hiawatha Valley League play with a comfortable fifty-three stroke victory over Byron 327-380 followed by Pine Island-Zumbrota-Mvazeppa (PIZM) 417, Kasson-Mantorville (K-M) 418, Stewartville 423, and Cannon Falls 433 in an event held at Lake City Golf Club on May 4.
Lake City was led by medalist Jordana Windhorst Knudsen’s 77, Molly Kennedy 82, Emma Berge 83, and Brooke Bee 85. Other scores included Ella Matzke 86 and Mattie Mears 109.
