The team shirts that the captains designed say, “Run now, Pie later”. What does it mean? Your work will be rewarded, or if you win the Lake City Invite at a varsity level as a team, you are rewarded with a local apple pie. The shirts were prophetic in this case because both Lake City varsities were victorious. Twelve other teams came into town to compete along with several ranked AA and A individuals. This led to some quality performances at the varsity level.
