Volleyball Tigers beat Cardinals in five
The Lewiston-Altura Cardinals turned out to be formidable foes on the volleyball court Oct. 20, but luckily didn’t have the wherewithal to make the final match theirs. A match that took five games to finish went to the Tigers, but they definitely had to work for it.
The Tigers and Cardinals stayed within a point of each other until a hard hit by Gracie Pierson flew across court on the Cardinals side and immediately hit the floor putting Lake City ahead by two, 9-7.
The lead was short-lived, however, and L-A soon sat on top 10-12, which prompted a Lake City time out.
