Volleyball Tigers lose to Byron, bounce back with win over Zumbrota-Mazeppa
The Lake City Tigers traveled to Byron on Tuesday, Sept. 16, where they fell in straight sets to the Bears.
Despite the loss, several Tigers turned in strong performances. Alli Helmin and Alayna Atkinson led the offense with four kills apiece, while Dylann Porisch anchored the defense at the net with two solo blocks. In the back row, Ava Emerson was a standout, collecting 19 digs to keep rallies alive.
The Lake City volleyball team earned a thrilling five-set victory on Thursday, Sept. 18, defeating Zumbrota-Mazeppa on the road.
