Volleyball Tigers shut out Rochester Lourdes

In a dramatic volleyball match Sept. 20 at home, the Rochester Lourdes Eagles scored the first two points in game one, and just as Lake City seemed to be controlling the game with a score of 6-4, a tornado drill sent the teams and spectators into the halls to seek cover.
Play resumed about 25 minutes later and the Tigers took over the game. Lourdes’ coach finally called a time out when the score reached 16-7 in favor of Lake City. Before long, the Tigers held a 12-point lead and went on to win the game 25-14.
