Wallerich and Thieren are headed back to state tennis tourney

The Lake City Tiger girls tennis team entered the individual portion of the Section 1A tournament Oct. 15 and 16 at the Rochester Athletic Club.
In singles play, freshman Maddie Medvec defeated Laurie Miller of Cannon Falls in the first round of play 6-1, 6-3. In the quarterfinals, Medvec was defeated by Katie Mulvey of Trinity School at River Ridge 6-0, 6-0 and eliminated from the tournament.
