Wrestling season opens with two wins

The Lake City High School wrestling team opened the season on Saturday with a triangular at Pine Island with Fillmore Central being the third team.

The Tigers opened against Fillmore Central with eighth grader Weston Roberson dropping a hard fought 5-2 match at 106.

Chris Ramirez came out at 113 and picked up his first varsity victory with a pin in 1:12.

Last year’s pin leader Nate Evans picked up another pin in 1:50 at 120 pounds followed by freshman Elijah Dodd (making his varsity debut) losing in overtime 12-10.
