Youth 2 on 2 sand volleybal tourney held
Lake City’s first youth two on two sand volleyball tournament was held on Saturday, Aug. 6 at the Peter’s Park courts.
Organizer Jessica Brunn has been bringing her daughters to sand volleyball tournaments in the metro area for the past two summers and decided to bring the experience home for local players to enjoy.
“Our region has girls eager to play the game, especially with role models like Olympians Kerri Walsh Jennings and April Ross making headlines right now. We also have these fantastic courts here in Lake City, so it made sense to host an event,” said Brunn.
