‘When duty called, they placed service above self’

Hundreds of people attendded the Memorial Day Program in the Lincoln High School auditorium on Monday, May 25.

Co-emcees were again Heidi Berge and Bruce Carlstrom, who led those in attendance through a program of song, prayer, and ceremony to honor the veterans of the United States Armed Forces.

“These were not distant names in history books,” Berge said. “They were sons and daughters, brothers and sisters, parents and friends. They laughed,. They dreamed and hoped and planned for a future, just as we do.
