Fun in sun forecast for Float-a-palooza

Float-a-palooza, a celebration of the trendy floating pads (and other flotation devices), is coming to the marina beach area near Ohuta Park on Saturday, Aug. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Float-a-palooza is free for all ages and will feature music, food, giveaways, and more.

Lake City AmericInn owner Mark Nichols and his late wife, Cathy, noticed a new trend on the lakes they visited last summer: more and more people were enjoying the water on portable roll-up floating pads.
