HAHS: Roaming cats may not be homeless cats

The Hiawatha Animal Humane Society (HAHS) reports that there is no public ordinance regarding roaming cats within the city of Lake City. So many cat owners allow their felines to roam freely.  We do not approve of this practice for the obvious reason that it is not only dangerous for the cats, but also for other small wildlife, as well as the comfort of the owner’s human neighbors.
