July 8 proclaimed ‘Taylor Heise Day’ in Lake City

Lake City Mayor Mark Nichols proclaimed July 8 “Taylor Heise Day” in Lake City in recognition of Heise’s accomplishments in the sport of hockey and her positive impact on the Lake City community and beyond.

Heise grew up in the Lake City area and attended Bluff View Elementary School. Her parents are Amy and Tony Heise.

She discovered hockey through the youth hockey program in Lake City and went on to a career that has included numerous awards at the high school, college, international, and professional level.
