Weather just right for vintage snowmobile show and ride

Winter returned just in time for the Wells Creek Riders’ vintage snowmobile show and ride Saturday.

Heavy snowfall overnight Thursday and into Friday created a layer suitable for riding again after an extended warm spell had caused much of the snowcover to melt.

In addition to dozens of vintage sleds entered in the show, at least that many modern snowmobiles arrived at Mt. Frontenac carrying attendees.

“It always helps to have snow,” said Blake Settle, a member of the Wells Creek Riders.
