Hospice abatement issue postponed

A special meeting for the Lake City City Council to consider a tax abatement for a proposed hospice facility in Lake City Monday night was cancelled.
The council will instead revisit the issue at its regular monthly meeting on Nov. 13.
Lake City Economic Development Authority Executive Director Lisa Babington said the developers of the project have requested that the council consider the abatement and a related development agreement at the same time.
