Lincoln High School student killed in weekend collision

Friends, family, classmates, school staff, and community members are remembering Lincoln High School student Karina Gonzalez-Baltazar and raising money for her family.

Gonzalez-Baltazar, 17, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by her sister, Fidelina Gonzalez, 35, when it was struck by a large truck while turning off Highway 61 onto 7th Street in Red Wing at about 4:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Karina was taken to St. Marys in Rochester, where she died on Saturday.
