Mayo announces $1.1 million in renovations to Lake City emergency department

A major remodel of Mayo Clinic Health System’s emergency department in Lake City will improve the overall patient experience as well as patient and staff safety, according to a news release.

Construction will begin this summer on the $1.1 million project. Renovations on the emergency department (ED) are expected to be completed in early 2018.

The ED and hospital will remain open during construction, according to a Mayo spokesperson.
