Thoughts about knuckles

We don’t usually spend much time thinking about our knuckles or discussing them with others. They are just there doing their job of allowing our fingers to flex. We have 14 knuckles on each hand with two on our thumbs and three on each of our four fingers. We have a similar arrangement with our toes, except we refer to them not as knuckles, but joints.
