Letter: Lest we forget
I went back to the Renee Good memorial right before the last snowstorm. This time my husband came with me. Everything was intact and beautiful. The flags were still there, the flowers, the ribbons and the cards.
It prompted a very long discussion on the way home.
The totality of our discussion was about immigration.
When my oldest son was five, we went to John Marshall’s football pep fest in 1980 for homecoming.
At the end of the gym in the smaller bleachers were the children of Vietnamese Cambodian immigrants.
