Anderson: Salary appeal is about transparency, fairness
To the editor:
As many of you know, I am headed to a court hearing next Friday in my appeal of the auditor/treasurer salary, which was set by the Wabasha County Board of Commissioners last fall.
My position is that the board did not properly take into account my duties, responsibilities and experience when setting the salary as they are directed to do by state statues. Because my position is elected, state statute allows me to appeal the county board’s decision to the district court.
