A community dialogue could be more effective than protests

While I strongly support the right to demonstrate against what protesters perceive as increasing authoritarianism, their interests might be better served if they were to offer some positive solutions to the problems they identify. All they have is an obvious and extreme distaste for anything Trump says or does. Many moderate voters are tired of the harsh rhetoric of the anti-Trumpers and would welcome a respectful discussion of important issues such as immigration, the deficit, wasteful government spending and other pressing concerns.
