Halvorson: Driving

I got my first license in 1939 when I turned fifteen. All I did was pay a fee of 35 cents. No lessons and I didn’t even have a car.
I convinced the guys that had cars to teach me to drive.
Through the years there have been many cars, probably as many as houses. Back then most cars had running boards.
