Lake City, do you know how good you are?

Aug. 7 marked the end of one of the most beautiful and gratifying chapters of my life — 21 years in Lake City. Our house is sold and now I (widowed in 2024) am moving on to a new chapter — farmland near River Falls, Wis., farmland that was my birthplace. But my respect, appreciation, and gratitude for this incredible Lake City community touches me daily and it always will. So I ask you: Lake City, do you really know how good you are?
