Letter: Fundraising to replace pickleball, tennis courts sets bad precedent

I want to encourage the Council to reverse their decision to require a 50-50 match to replace the tennis/pickleball courts.

I have been coming to Lake City for over 25 years, renting a slip in your lovely marina for sailing. The tennis courts were a great asset. Fifteen years ago we bought a condo here and enjoy our time here immensely.

Requiring fundraising for a new community asset like the splash pad is one thing; it is very different from taking away a current asset and asking for private fundraising for that. It is a bad precedent.
