Letter: Highway should bypass the city

To the editor:
Long ago when Highway 61 was a narrow two-lane road that stretched the whole length from La Crosse, Wis., to Grand Marais, someone had the idea to upgrade 61 to a super four-lane highway from beginning to end.
There is a good start. Four lanes from Minneapolis to Grand Marais is completed, and from La Crosse to Wabasha is completed.
