Letter: Slogans are like water skis; you can use two
To the editor:
In reading the recent Graphic I noted Dan Coyle’s question to the city’s recent famed visitor Rudy Maxa as to the best slogan for the city publicity.
Rudy commented on “Birthplace of Waterskiing” versus the recently created “Minnesota’s South Shore”.
My encouragement is for the Lake City Tourism Bureau and Lake City Chamber of Commerce to discuss using both slogans – possibly Minnesota’s South Shore on top and Birthplace of Waterskiing on bottom. Both are unique to our community.
