Letter: Thanks for help raising cane money

To the editor:
On Saturday, May 4, during the 100-mile garage sale, Lake City Lions Club conducted an event known as “White Cane Day.”
This event was held to create public awareness of blindness and eye diseases, and to collect donations to assist those who are afflicted with this medical issue. To this day one of the founding principles of Lions is to assist, prevent, and help find a cure for blindness.
