Letter: Vote 'no' on street closing

To the editor:
Between today and Election Day, you must take a drive or a walk southbound down Washington Street. As you pass some of your favorite local businesses, notice the view straight ahead. The lake and the bluffs are very present in this downtown scene. Whether we are shopping, dining, or stomping grapes, we are always connected to the vitality of our natural surroundings thanks to the open end of South Washington Street.
