Library’s 40-plus friends to mark friends of the library week
With the 14th annual Friends of the Library Week slated for Oct. 20-26, the 4,427 national Friends’ groups are in full support of the work of the American Library Association/United for Libraries and the countless local libraries they assist across the nation.
Friends of the Library groups extend a library’s capacity by making financial donations, providing volunteer help, and advocating for the library. Friends’ groups work hard in the community to make sure that libraries are strong, relevant, and well-funded.
