A note about election letters

The Graphic will continue its practice of not allowing election letters about specific candidates or issues the week before the election to prevent someone from making a claim that can’t be rebutted in the paper before ballots are cast.
Since Aug. 9 is the final issue before the Aug. 14 Lake City City Council primary election, this rule will be in effect.
