The Old Curmudgeon - 1-21-16

Back in the 1950s, gasoline price wars were a common occurrence. The Old Curmudgeon remembers paying twelve cents a gallon at a Pure Oil Station in Anoka, Minn. It was a pretty good deal for him, as he was getting his regular salary plus eight cents a mile (current rate is 57 cents a mile) using his own car to find, and collect from, delinquent accounts.
