The Old Curmudgeon - 4-28-16
Cinco de Mayo (the fifth of May) is coming faster than we know. Yes, it is a full week away, but by the time next week’s issue of The Graphic is printed and distributed it will be too late to plan related activities for the celebration. What will be celebrated is not Mexican Independence Day. (That event is September 16). Cinco de Mayo refers to the date of May 5, 1862 when the Mexican army drove French forces back from the city of Puebla.
