Peters: Veterans day from a veteran’s perspective

Good afternoon, and thank you for the invitation to speak before the members and friends of the Lake City Kiwanis Club. I am a Vietnam War era veteran having served with the 7th U.S. Army from 1963-1965 and the Army Reserve from 1965-1969. I have earned the Army Commendation medal, Good Conduct medal, National Defense medal, Cold War Victory medal, American Defense medal, and other recognitions.
