Rasmussen: DLC thankful for big turnout at cleanup event
On Saturday, April 24, the Destination Lake City (DLC), together with the Lake City Sportsman’s Club and the Lake Pepin Legacy Alliance group, co-sponsored a community clean up day for Lake City’s shoreline and downtown area.
By our count we had 59 individuals show up to collect and clean up trash all along the lakeshore beaches and streets of downtown. It was cold, wet and windy but that did not deter the volunteers who picked up trash and litter from Central point to Roschen Park.
