In the five years since my wife and I moved back permanently to Lake City, I have become more aware of our thriving non-profit community and the many volunteers engaged in supporting their favored organization. It’s an amazing example of how much good work can be accomplished by those willing to spend their time, talent and resources to support the greater Lake City area. In conjunction with National Nonprofit Day, it’s important to recognize those who help non-profits achieve their mission, usually on a bare-bones budget, with no or limited paid staff.
