If you are uncomfortable being out in the heat these days, imagine being a tree. Like postmen, they are out in all kinds of weather, wind, cold, and extreme heat.

And this time of year, like the rest of us, they could use a long cool drink to help them weather this heat.

In the last few years City crews have planted hundreds of young trees to replace trees destroyed by storms and emerald ash borer. These young trees are especially vulnerable to lack of water.
