Use ‘Seven-Second Rule’ to protect pets’ paws
As we continue to experience unusually high temperatures in our area, please keep in mind the comfort and safety of your four legged companions.
Before walking with them on concrete and asphalt, always use the “Seven-Second Rule.”
If you can’t tolerate the heat on the back of your hand pressed to the pavement for seven seconds, neither can your pet’s paws.
Also, please provide them with lots of fresh cool water and keep them inside with you as much as possible.
