Baseball Tigers drop two to Byron in Saturday double-header

The Lake City Tigers varsity baseball team (0-5) is still in search of its first win of the year after dropping both games Saturday, April 9 to the Byron Bears (2-0) at Bill Kiefer Field in Lake City.

The Bears took the lead, 1-0, in the top of the first and never looked back, scoring three more in the third, and three more in the sixth. The Tigers’ lone run came in the fifth, via an Owen Meyers walk, driven in by a Riley Forbes single. The Tigers lost 7-1.
