Girls track team sends five to state

Five members of the Lake City High School girls track team have qualified for the state meet.

The Lake City girls track and field team participated in the Section 1A track and field meet hosted by Plainview-Elgin-Millville in Elgin on May 28 and 30. Twenty-six teams competed in the meet.

Byron was first with 80.5 points. Plainview-Elgin-Millville (69.5) and Lake City (69) rounded out the top three.
