Lake City Legion outlasts Chatfield
It took nine innings but the Lake City Legion team outlasted Chatfield on June 10 down in Happy Valley.
Lake City opened the scoring in the second inning when Kylar Ruffell led off with a walk, stole second, advanced to third on a passed ball and came home on a sacrifice fly by Mac Heise.
In the third inning, Josh Matanich led off the inning with a single, Atticus Heise followed with a double down the right field line. Jake Wohlers then hit a sharp single scoring both Matanich and Heise for two RBI and a two run lead.
