Jake Wohlers hit the biggest shot of his sophomore season as his corner three-pointer with 3:28 to play broke a 45-all tie and sparked Lake City on an 8-0 run to close out a 53-45 hard fought victory over Stewartville in the Section 1AA quarterfinals. Lake City received a stern test from upset-minded Stewartville with the season hanging in the balance but Lake City’s experience on the big stage proved key down the stretch as Stewartville went scoreless the final 5:54.
