Primary voters set Nov. 6 ballot
Lake City voters in the Aug. 14 primary chose six city council candidates to appear on the general election ballot on Nov. 6.
Faye Brown, Amy Kohrs Alkire, John Mead, Russell Boe, Jason DeVinny, and Greg Schreck advanced to the general election. Edward Towey and Andru Peters did not.
Marty Kelly and Paul Gielau qualified to appear on the ballot in the race for Goodhue County Sheriff. Josh Stehr was eliminated.
Statewide, Jeff Johnson won the Republican primary for governor. Tim Walz won the DFL gubernatorial primary.
